How to solve the world’s problems without war

Posted by Shannon on August 2, 2006

So, as I’m making the five minute walk from my parking deck to my office I started to think about ways we could end violence in the world in a fun way that would actually be quite humerous to watch.

Four square.

Think about it, the game is competitive. And if you haven’t played it since grade school like myself and then jump in after a 15-year hiatus to go up against some middle school and high school kids it takes the best out of you.

I’m thinking we could take four leaders - President Bush, Iran’s Vice President Isfandiar Rahim Mashaee, North Korea Dictator Kim Jong Il, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair in a four-square battle. Mashaee and Blair would be at a disadvantage because they are not used to playing sports that allow the use of your hands. Il I think would be too loco to be a factor and Bush, well he’s in shape we know that.

It could be fun. It could be entertaining.

And if that doesn’t work I suggest:

A Texas Tornado Tag Team match - Bush/Blair vs. Mashaee/Jong Il in a street fight. Charge PPV prices with all proceeds going to Africa humanitarian efforts and to families in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Israel. First team to make an opponent “squeal like a pig” would be declared the winner.
