So after the top of second inning, I decided to use my DVR function and head to the local grocery store to pick up a few drinks and snacks for the first game of the World Series. I’m talking to this cashier, and she mentioned that one of my items looked pretty good. I follow with a line about how the item (cookies) would be needed if my team loses tonight.

Her: What game?
Me: Game 1 of the World Series
Her: (with an excited voice) Oh yeah. You’re rooting for Detroit?
Me: I’m a Cardinals fan. I have to go with the Cards.
Her: silently she points to the exit jokingly.
