I racked up a grand total of 400 miles on my Chevy Colorado this weekend and never left the state of Kentucky once. It was that kind of weekend of running errands, making two trips to Louisville in one day, and interesting questions at a job interview, each filled with humor that only can come through what seems to be the comedic nature of some aspects of my life.
Embarrassing Purchases
First, the errand. On Saturday, I mentioned to my mother that after the West Virginia-Rutgers game, I was going to head to Lexington to Baby R Us to look at some things for my niece, specifically a high chair and another type chair that I’ve been wanting to get for them. My mother then makes a request to purchase a breast feeding pillow for my sister-in-law.
Guys of the blog, there are a few things that I find for guys to be embarrassing to purchase for women by ourselves. Monthly items ranks at the top of the list. Breast feeding pillows is a close second if not my new Number 1. Now, here I am a single bachelor in a new town going to a store where it’s clear there are no single women to be found and I’m purchasing a breast feeding pillow.
Help!
I found it and made sure I was on the phone the entire time with family confirming the purchase, which means that I have a breast feeding pillow in my closet to take home Thanksgiving week. I don’t mind purchasing things for my sister-in-law and my niece, in fact I quite enjoy it, however there has to be a line.
