Final Flight Preparations

Posted by Shannon on April 17, 2008

Tomorrow is the big day.

I’m going to take a ride on the friendly skies tomorrow and let’s just say it’s going to be a show. The last time I flew was in October 1996, I was coming home to West Virginia from a week-long trip to Washington, D.C., for a leadership conference and I was on a little commuter plane from Cincinnati to Charleston, W.Va. This plane was so small that I could probably lay down from end to end and touch it. I’m joking it wasn’t that small, but you get the drift.

Me and tiny are not the best of friends.

The most I have done to get ready is the laundry. I figure that was a good start. Tonight will be packing, last minute home work, and then going to bed hopefully by 10:30 p.m., since the alarm for tomorrow is 3:30 a.m., with the intent to be out the door by 4:30 a.m., to pick up two people and drive on to the airport.

So in honor of what could be a very funny experience tomorrow (trust me there will be some live blogging if I can gain internet access in Chicago) here are videos of what I hope doesn’t happen tomorrow.

Incoming

Or These Pilots

Or anything that happens in Airplane!
