OK, I Can Work With This
Today, I voluntarily took myself to the doctor.
This is something I don’t like to do. I don’t enjoy going to the doctor as they usually enjoy charging me high prices to tell me I am sick. That and I don’t like all the poking at my sides.
But, I couldn’t help it today. I’ve been having symptoms for the past few days that had me concerned I was showing early signs of this or this. So you can imagine my thrill when it was only this.
However, I wasn’t happy with my weight. I think the stress of the past few months have taken its toll on my body. So, I’m even more pleased with where I’m going to be working this summer - humidity, no McDonalds, and lots of work.
I’m setting some serious goals for myself. I don’t want to live my life constantly thinking I’m going to have some life threatening disease because of my weight. Plus, I’m not as attractive to potential people as I should be. Hey, when you’re 28 and single, it’s an issue.
So here’s to the final week of the semester. When it’s all over, Operation Wrestling Weight beings. This time … I’m going to be serious about it.

Yes, as we all remember from last year in Atlanta. Taco Tuesday or as I would like to call it - The Day of Cleansing.

As one with type 2 diabetes, let me urge you to listen to your doctor! And trust me, you can make any changes you want. I did. I don’t eat as I should 100% of the time, but I’m doing better right now.
As far as paying the doctor to tell you you’re sick: When I was back in Iowa, when I went in for my regular visits, Dr. Hunt would pop in the room and ask me, “Well, how are you doing?” I’d always respond, “That’s what I came here to find out from YOU! If I knew how I was doing, I wouldn’t have made an appointment.”

Thanks, Mark. I’m listening to my doctor. I’m glad it’s UTI right now, but I’m certainly going to start making changes in my health. This is the last time I’m having a scare like this.
